Web Producer

Brides Magazine is looking for a Web Producer to manage development of new web content for an iconic fashion brand. This individual will be part of the team responsible for all digital content offerings for Brides. Position will report to the Digital Content Director on the Brides staff. We are looking for someone with a passion for the web that seeks out new opportunities and executes creative solutions. Interest in weddings is a plus.

  • Job Responsibilities

    • Daily production of image slideshows, galleries, and homepage rotators on topics such as wedding style, fashion, beauty, and home
    • Creation of content for gathered from industry experts and wedding bloggers
    • Acting as a liaison with technology teams on new development and managing web team deliverables and QA
    • Packaging content assets for syndication and supporting sponsor and partnership opportunities
    • Implementing SEO best practices and optimizing web traffic
    • Reporting on overall site usage, page views, and visits
  • Job Requirements

    • Education: Associate's Degree
    • Employment: Associate
    • Interest in weddings, fashion, and style
    • Experience creating web content for an online media company
    • Strong understanding of how to write for the web
    • Solid understanding of SEO, writing searchable headlines, copy, and tagging
    • Ability to analyze traffic data and track metrics, adjusting accordingly
    • Knowledge of publishing in content management system (Teamsite) and blog software (Moveable Type, Wordpress, and basic HTML)
    • Basic ability to crop, edit, and resize images in Photoshop
    • Interest and savvy with social networking
