Associate Editor

Condé Nast seeks an Associate Editor for a full-time staff position. GQ is seeking an Associate Editor to generate, edit, and package the bulk of GQ's non-fashion service stories, as well as recruit writers and participate in all facets of editorial planning/production. This role is the main service editor for all front-section manual and feature-well service, plus all FOB or well service packages- food, drink, gadgets, travel, sex, and more.

  • Job Responsibilities

    • Writing and ultimately assigning front-of-book pieces
    • Brainstorming , pitching, and shaping ideas for monthly lineups
    • Contributing to feature packages and feature well stories, as needed
    • Shepherding ideas from concepts to printed page, collaborating with Editor in Chief as well as Photo and Design Departments
  • Job Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree
    • Employment: Mid-Senior level
    • 3-5 years working on an editorial team
    • Strong writing and reporting skills
    • Must be an ideas machine, well organized and able to handle multiple projects
