Marketing Associate

This position will develop, create and execute marketing materials and campaigns to support The Connection • handling everything from website and email marketing graphics/content, writing press releases, to updating and monitoring social media platforms and other forms of online marketing including SEO. 15 - 20 hours per week.

  • Job Responsibilities

    • Responsible for creating, designing and writing website content / maintaining & updating through CMS Joomla
    • Responsible for email blasts through Mail Chimp
    • Responsible for social media postings and monitoring online activities
    • Interact with program directors and other key staff to strategize and coordinate marketing activities
    • Write press releases and other promotional materials
  • Job Requirements

    • Education: Not Required
    • Employment: Associate
    • Background in digital media and 3 years experience in a creative marketing position
    • Proficiency with CS5 (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
    • Experience with original content development for websites and/or news
    • HTML knowledge
    • Experience with email and direct marketing
    • Experience with social media and Brand Management Tools like Hootsuite
    • Experience with SEO and keyword monitoring, and Google Analytics
    • Experience as a coordinator of multiple projects across online and traditional media
    • Ability to collaborate successfully with Marketing and Program Director staff
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word
    • Experience or interest in fundraising is a plus
    • Experience or interest in nonprofit preferred
